ZONG COMES GOOD AT KHAO KHEOW

As has been reported recently, many of the courses in the region have been affected by the wet weather in recent times and Khao Kheow is no exception. It was a long day for our 8 groups who played off the yellow tees measuring 6300 yards on courses A and B. Although the golfers were given lift, clean and place on the fairways, in hindsight, this should have been extended to `through the green`.
Despite the difficult conditions, there were some excellent performances notably from Gang Zong who won his first ever Green Jacket. Zong carded 39 points and won the day on countback from Steve Moxey. In 3rd place was Grant Pride who, despite a slow start, played the back 9 in level par. Steven Lynch plays off a handicap of 2 and grossed 74 to take 4th place. Steven also won 2 near pins. 5th place went to Eric Black who won his envelope courtesy of scoring 2 points on the last hole as opposed to George Mueller who carded a 6 for 1 point.
