WHEELS STAY ON FOR TONY AT KHAO KHEOW

Golf was looking very suspect at 7.30 on Wednesday with a heavy rainstorm having arrived at Pattaya and surrounding areas. Assurances were made by Khao Kheow that all was in order at the course and, by the time of departure, the rain had abated.

With A course still closed for maintenance, we were given nines B & C. As things turned out, it was a perfect day for golf with absolutely no rain. Playing off the more friendly white tees, it was a close run thing with 1 point separating 5 golfers. Winner was the popular New Zealander Tony Wheeler who is a regular visitor to The Links. Tony’s 37 point just edged out Gary Kuhnel on a count back. Top of the group with 36 points was Masao Ishikawa.
