TONY LEADS THE WAY ON DAVE’S BIRTHDAY

The golfing week starts again and it’s another birthday to celebrate…. It’s the Captain Dave Heyes today so we swopped to his favourite course Pattana and took 9 groups to do battle for the jacket. We were slightly unlucky with the weather today having a storm halfway round but it soon cleared up and no harm done.

Dave kindly put some extra prizes In for the winners and losers and it was his 4 ball that claimed most of them… except the birthday boy himself!

Today’s winner was the very likeable Tony Browne playing some great golf and scoring 40pts winning the green jacket and a bottle of booze supplied by the Captain.

2nd place was one of my playing partners and he has just arrived back from Australia sporting a new look which is up for debate however his golf was top draw and only just missed out with 38pts.

3rd was Keith Griffith with a solid 37pts.

4th was Dave’s old pal and top man Huw Philips with 36pts.

5th was Mai the only female in the field with a very respectable 33pts

6th was Batardon Pierre with 32pts

Unfortunately Dave didn’t have the best of rounds but it was great to see so many turn up for his birthday and make it a special day.
