SELWYN RETURNS WITH A BANG

Selwyn Yates only arrived back in Thailand on Sunday morning and was a runner up at Mondays event at Parichat, played a starring part for the Links Pool Team in a 13-2 victory on Monday night in the Pattaya League and walked off with the Green Jacket today at Bangpakong with 41 points.
There were many good scores recorded at Bangpakong which was in pristine condition. It has been a while since The Links has played there but everyone was very complimentary about the condition of the course. Aside from Selwyn, there were 3 other scores in the 40s from Seamus Langan, who lost on count back to Selwyn, Ian Bell and Gerner Lykke.
Although not in the prize list, a special mention should go to 3 handicapper Michael Lohse from Denmark who carded 8 fours and 1 three in his back nine.
Four of our regular players very nearly missed their tee off time because they finished up at the 9 hole course at the Bangpakong Power Station. They were met by a rather confused security officer who escorted them to the course which was closed! No names shall be mentioned but, suffice to say, all four were from Australia.
