PRIDEY’S PRIDE BOOST NUMBERS AT SILKY OAK

The Links took 11 groups to Silky Oak with the numbers boosted by an Australian touring party fronted by The Links co-owner, Grant Pride. The headline states Pridey’s Pride with, as most people are aware, a pride being the collective name for a group of lions. Apologies for misleading the readers as to the prowess of the party – maybe wallabies would have been more appropriate!

The amount of players necessitated we had 2 flights with the split being 0-17 and 18+. It was a complete role reversal from Pattaya Country Club on Friday where Chris Barker held off Livio Marrone. Livio gained revenge at Silky Oak with his 40 points just beating Chris and Mark Johnstone who returned 39 points.
