Leave It To Beaver(s)
Early morning showers on this Monday morning failed to deter our twenty five golfers as they gathered at Links Bar for coffee or a full breakfast.
The two buses got away on time for the trip to beautiful Laem Chabang which has become very regular for us due to the great Monday Special pricing, long may it stay.
This course is in it’s usual pristine condition so not much to add to previous descriptions. Perhaps the only comment to be made is that some found the greens on the A nine to be a little slower than expected, but all made the necessary adjustments. The C nine greens were as expected, terrific.
The scores today would seem to reflect the fine condition of the course, and there were many excellent returns.
At this time, if you are looking for great scores it is a case of “ leave it to Beaver(s)” as he takes all before him and, with another big score of 42 points, his second Green Jacket in three days.
The second and third placings in “B” flight went to the countback with two players on 39 points. It was Bernie Stafford, in a rare appearance at Links, who got there ahead of Tip Briney? Tip who? The same perennial wearer of the “wig” and “silly hat”? A big turnaround. Well done Tip.
“A” flight saw Peter Park still in good form but being pushed this time by just returned Michael Wright. Both had 39 points with Peter just holding top spot, and of course, best gross of 73.
Tom Herrington runs hot and cold, but after a couple of weeks playing a lot of golf put it together for a good 36 points for third.
Near Pins:, Livio Marrone (A2), Bryan Dore (A7), Tom Herrington (C5), Kevin Rogers (C8)

If you are the marker for Boss Phil and lose his card, and if the Boss only scores 22 points, you need to be prepared for something. Michael Wright may have come second in “ A” flight but that didn’t save him from the “silly hat”.
The potential wearer of the “wig” did a runner, so his turn will come later.
Another fine day out, back early for food and presentations, just right.
