PATTAYA COUNTRY CLUB TAMED BY TOTTENHAM

After all the rain that has dogged The Links in recent times it was a very pleasant surprise to be met with a good breeze and dry conditions at Pattaya Country Club. Heavy overnight rain made the course play long but three players managed to break par.

It was Mike Tottenham who headed the field with an excellent score of 38. Mike started with a wipe at the first but he fought back to win the Green Jacket. In second place was Wayne Peppernell with 37. Wayne beat Tony Cliff on countback. Mike and Wayne are two of the mainstays of The Links pool teams and the pair were certainly potting some putts today. The final podium place went to Greg Smith with 34.

Mike is a keen Spurs fan but one suspects it will be the only trophy that London Tottenham will win this year!
