MAI CLEANS UP AT A WET EASTERN STAR

28 golfers started off at a wet Eastern Star but 28 didn`t finish with the heavy rain taking its toll. The course suffered from heavy rain through the night with just about every bunker having water present. Credit to the Eastern Star green keepers however who`s coring programme made the greens fast and true. Credit should also go to the management who provided their caddies with golf bag covers which certainly helped in keeping clubs and equipment dry.

Paul Anderson, who was in the lead off group, returned 37 points including 2 near pins and he held the lead right until the last group returned. Mai beat Paul`s 37 by a single point to win her second Green Jacket in as many weeks.
