LEAGUE OF NATIONS WIN 4 MAN SCRAMBLE

Friday was the monthly 4 man scramble and this time we played it at St Andrews and the course was in the best condition I’ve ever seen it.

The Fairways looked great and the greens were a little slow but still good to putt on.

We had great support for this again and it was another fun day.

The scoring was a lot lower than I anticipated especially with everyone having to have 3 drives and a tee shot on the par 3s.

Today’s winners played some incredible golf and managed 8 birdies… They owe a lot to Youngmin Ko for his last tee shot under pressure on the 205 yard par 3 17th which he had to take and managed to get it all the way to the back tier which ultimately clinched them victory so congratulations to Captain John Reps, Dave Heyes, Youngmin Ko and Huw Phillips with a nett score of 58.35!

In second place was my team and we thought we had won it with 59 having 7 birdies and an eagle but a par on the par 5 18th would ultimately cost us. It was a fantastic day and some really good golf played by all the teams.

Welcome back to Vic Hanson and Keith Melbourne always good to see you both.

1st – Dave Heyes, John Reps
