JP COMES THROUGH AT LAEM CHABANG
Laem Chabang has always been one of our best supported courses and this time was no different as we took 8 groups with us to the Jack Nicklaus designed course. It was originally 9 groups but as is the norm, some online sign ons never turned up or had the courtesy to let us know. This led to a major group restructuring when we arrived at the course. Once again, we request that players signing on at either at the bar or online specify if they need transport.
We were assigned courses C & A upon arrival. Course C is surely one of the hardest 9 holes we play. One of our esteemed golfers said to his caddy on the first tee that he would give her 50 baht if he had the same ball after 4 holes. Needless to say, the caddy never got her reward as he launched 2 balls out of bounds on the first hole!
With little to no run, playing off the white tees made it a long day with only one golfer breaking par. And so it was that John Pierrel won his 2nd Green Jacket in as many weeks. His outward half of 18 was only bettered by Bob Watson who returned 19 points on C. John however had the better in the home 9 with 19 to Bobs 16.
