IT’S A FRENCH BLITZ AT ST ANDREWS

Frenchman Geoffrey Muller was a late addition to the field and finished up demolishing St Andrews with an incredible score of 48 stableford points playing off a handicap of 30. Truth be told, when he showed us his handicap verification it showed his handicap as 30.7 so really he should have played off 31. Other great scores included 43 from Gerry Rafferty and 41 from a Links regular, Tony Browne. Special mention should also go to Paul Smith who had 38 points playing off a handicap of 2.

St Andrews has greatly improved over the last few months and it is getting back to the fantastic course that it used to be. Although everyone had teed off under a clear sky, the dark clouds started rolling in early afternoon as heavy rain threatened to disrupt proceedings Fortunately, the last group had just completed their round when the heavens opened.
