IRISH EYES SMILING AT SILKY OAK

Two big winners at Silky Oak on Friday. The first was Irishman Seamus Langan who won his first Green Jacket when he came out on top with 39 points. The second big winner was the course. Everyone commentated on how the course has greatly improved since the changes have been made to the layout and to the standard of the course in general with run on the fairways and the greens running true. The biggest compliment probably came from Steve Moxey, who, despite having eight 3 putts, was very generous in his praise of the course. Steve finished with 32 points – not bad considering he finished with 40 putts.
Seamus just edged out Mike Souden who returned after his spell offshore and posted 38 points to be runner up in Flight B. Also on 38 points was Livio Marrone who won Flight A.
