HUTCH COMES GOOD AT A RAINY LAKESIDE

It was a wet Royal Lakeside that greeted the 38 golfers on the 1^st of August. The weather conditions were more akin to a Scottish summer day – persistent rain all day long. The conditions reflected the scoring with only 2 players returning cards over 36 points.

                It has to be said that Royal Lakeside is a wonderful golf course and excellent value at 1399 baht all in. Although the fairways were very wet, the greens remained remarkably fast with shots thrown onto the green often running through.

                It was Derek Hutchinson who came out on top with his 38 points beating Billy Buchanan into 2^nd place. The ever-consistent Nick Aubin was in 3^rd place with 36 points. The full list of winners is as follows:

                There were plenty of contestants for the dreaded wig which was eventually awarded to Paul Anderson. Paul is usually in the pink envelope group but as I am sure Paul would agree, it wasn`t one of his better days, much to the delight of his friend and Green Jacket winner, Hutch.
