GRANT TAKES PRIDE OF PLACE AT PATTAVIA
Pridey won his first ever Green Jacket on Friday when he clocked up 36 points despite having only 2 points after 3 holes. Nick Aubin, playing off a handicap of 7, was out in 9 over par and back in 2 under to take 2nd place on 35 points. Also on 35 points were Chris Barker and Eric Black for 3rd and 4th place.
Pattavia is renowned for its fast greens with any ball finishing above the hole in 3 putt territory. However, many of the golfers who returned to the club house said they had never seen the course in better condition.
Shot of the day was Steven Lynch who hit his tee shot on the 383 yard second hole onto the green. Unfortunately, he 3 putted. The recipient of the wig was one of Steven`s playing partner, Paul Kennedy who managed 16 points which included a birdie at the last hole. Paul totalled 9 points on the last 3 holes! The silly hat returned to the scene after a long absence and was awarded to Billy who took Phil`s phone for a jaunt up to Pattavia. Luckily, he realised his mistake before too much distance had been covered.
