FRANKIE BREAKS DUCK FOR FIRST GREEN JACKET

It’s the first Friday of the month and that means medal day at the Links!

Today we took 10 groups to Pleasant Valley to see who could hold a round together.

The course is a good value for money and a decent test of golf as the scores revealed.

Today’s winner has played from the Links for a long time and has become an absolute legend… he has been knocking at the door for his first green jacket and today he finally got there. Congratulations to my old pal Frankie McCardle with a nett 68 winning Februarys monthly medal.

I’m sure he will be out celebrating with the boys after pool tonight!

2nd place missing about by 1 shot was Werner Leten with a 69

3rd was a the man who knows how to enjoy life Andy Kelleher with a solid nett 70.

4th was Quinton Murphy also with a 70 but this was gross as he plays off scratch and another impressive round from him with a 2 under par.

5th was John Carlton with a 71 beating Mr smooth Dave Arataki on a countback.
