CHRISTMAS COMES EARLY FOR MIKE AT BANG PAKONG

The Links took 11 groups to the fantastic Bang Pakong on the 23^rd. We were given a 10.00 tee off time but unfortunately some of our golfers were late because one of the buses took a wrong turning. It was a minor setback to what was a great day for golf on a great golf course.

Christmas certainly came early for Mike Ehlert who returned 44 points. Mike could be described as a feast or famine golfer. About 2 months ago he was feasting with 2 Green Jackets and regular podium places then came the famine. At Bang Pakong he was back to his very best as he shot a gross 2 over par.

Its been a long time since a Links golfer has had an eagle at a par 4 but Thierry Petrement did exactly that at the 310 yard par 4 17^th hole. Initially he thought he had lost his ball until one of his partners informed him that it was in the hole.
