CARR GETS INTO TOP GEAR AT GREENWOOD

Jimmy Carr receives first Green Jacket from Phil

It was a soggy Greenwood for the 7 groups that tackled B & C courses. Credit to the maintenance crews for making the courses playable. We have witnessed a lot of water in the bunkers at courses recently but not here at Greenwood. Fair to say that the bunkers were well prepared and all looked to have been freshly raked. The first group to tee off were all walking and still got round in exactly 4 hours. What was also very impressive was how the caddies all worked together in helped each other out.

As for the golf, Jimmy Carr, who has been a model of consistency in his time with us, came out on top with an excellent 38 points. He just pipped a resurgent Chris Barker who posted 37 points. Chris has been struggling a bit recently so it was good to see him back in form. Karl Flood, fresh from his 3rd place at Eastern Star, equaled that performance here at Greenwood with the other podium places going to Petur Petursson and Kevin Rogers.
