Although our 48 players had to share a cart, it was a good day to play at Green Valley. With St Andrews hosting a big tournament involving 130 players, The Links virtually had Green Valley to ourselves. Once again, the staff at Green Valley were very accommodating in giving us a couple of extra groups. We had 2 Flights with Flight A being 0 to 13 and Flight B 14+.

Dave Heyes celebates his birthday on Saturday and to mark the occasion he sponsored 2 extra prizes which were nearest the pins after 2 shots at holes 9 and 11. It turned out to be a good day for Dave who won his 2nd Green Jacket and no one managed to pick up the sponsored prize at the 11th hole. Dave beat Colm Lawlor by virtue of a countback. The winner of Flight A was Andy Kelleher who beat Mossy Quaid on count back with both returning 36 points. It was a great effort by Mossy who played with a golf shoe on his left foot and a moonboot on his right foot after picking up an injury on the beach the previous day.
