First time winner Young Min Ko receives Green Jacket from Phil.

So many times on the podium our South Korean friend finally broke his duck at Burapha to win his first Green Jacket. It is hard to remember a more popular winner of the coveted jacket.

Burapha is not only a popular course with The Links but with many other societies as well as was obvious with the amount of golfers present. We were given a 10.00 tee off time and that was exactly the time our first group teed off. It is no easy task marshalling dozens of golfers but the team at Burapha do it very well.

The A & B courses were not easy with no run on the fairways and very fast greens which had been recently cored and sanded.

As for the placing’s, Young Min came in with 39 points which was one better than new member, Jimmy Carr. The ever consistent Petur Petursson was third with 36 just ahead of Peter Lacey and Mark Johnstone.
