THE DON COMES OUT ON TOP AGAIN ON A HIGH SCORING DAY AT PATTANA

Michel Deletraz followed his 44 point success at Pleasant Valley with a stunning 45 points at Pattana A & B. All told there were 10 scores in the forties. When our 48 golfers arrived at Pattana we were given a 2 tee start. It should be stated that Pattana always treat us very well and give us 2 tee starts whenever possible. The only issue we had was that the yellow tees were measured as 6,400 yards but in reality they were 5,700 as they were placed beside the red tees. This goes a long way to explaining why there were so many good scores.

Although playing short, Pattana is an excellent golf course and in very good condition. When we arrived there were 2 other societies present which resulted in over 80 golfers milling around the club house but the starters soon got everyone away to their credit.
