Heavy overnight rain made for a wet Parichat and with carts not allowed on the fairways and no flags issued, it made for a long day for some of our players. Although our players teed off under a slight drizzle, the rain became much more persistent by the time the last group had completed the first hole. In fact, it got so heavy that all players decided to call it a day after 11 holes. With the bunkers filling up with water and the greens becoming un-puttable, it was a sensible decision. As everyone had completed the front 9, it was decided to make the event a 9 hole competition.

The runaway winner was Nigel Henson who turned with 20 points. Second place went to Wayne Peppernell with 17.
