At our last visit here, the course was in very good condition and the greens had vastly improved from a few weeks earlier.
This time, a couple of players commented after the game that the condition of the course was even better than then.
The greens have had plenty of water and the run off has made the front of the greens soft and a little muddy.
If hitting over the soft part and landing on the green, it is hard to stop the balling rolling too far, but putting has good pace and line.
However, even though admitting that he four putted the first, Steve Moxey continued his good form to score 35 points for another win, after scoring 20 points on the back nine.
It was a big win, as Dave Arataki sat wide eyed when he was given second place with just 27 points.
We started the morning with eight players until one called in sick and another couldn’t remember signing up, so we had two three balls.

1st Place – Steve Moxey (12 ) – 35 pts
2nd Place – Dave Arataki (26) – 27 pts
The weather was a bit strange as there was white cloud almost obscured by pollution. A nice breeze on and off during the round made conditions pleasant. Near the end, the clouds became grey and looked as if it might rain. It didn’t of course, but felt like it.
There was some controversy on course when a slow moving six ball would not allow our two groups to play through. Things happened, a marshal was called, but our groups did get through and finished in a tick over three and a half hours.
