When we wanted a replacement course for this date, Phil phoned a mate to see about getting a deal at Chee Chan.
The deal was very good so, making a limit of 40 players, a start sheet went onto the board.
By the time we finalized numbers, there was now 54 players names in 14 groups. It was going to be another big Links day.
We were given a two tee start and the lead off groups on each of the first and tenth tees were three balls. They teed off at exactly 10.00 am as was the instruction from Chee Chan management. No early start here.
The course looked spectacular and was manicured so that there was nary a blade of grass out of place.
Many of our players were here for the first time, so made hard work of it, therefore we had many below average scores.
Mark On won the day with a top score of 38 points. He has been here before.
Many extra novelties were in play for this big day.

It was a fairly slow round, by our normal standards but all players, especially the first timers, just enjoyed the opportunity to play this special course.
The day continued back at Links Bar with presentations and 𝗝𝗼𝘆’𝘀 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗴𝗵𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶 𝗕𝗼𝗹, followed by the premiere of 𝗕𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘆’𝘀 𝗤𝘂𝗶𝘇 𝗡𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁, and then some Killer Pool to finish up. A big day and a late night for some.
