The Greenwood course is in tip top condition all round and was set up for some good golf and some good scoring.
We had exactly that as the winners of both flights each had 40 points.
The contest for the Green Jacket went to a countback where Dave McKey nudged out Peter Kelly for the prize.
When Peter Kelly comes to visit he is most often in the placegetters list. He has already won a Green Jacket and went within a whisker of another one as winner the ‘A’ flight.
Paul Durkan joined us for a rare game and, as with Peter, usually is in the mix of top scores. 39 points from a #6 handicap is a top class effort.
Since his three month sabbatical, Huw Phillips has been playing well and gained third spot here with a terrific 38 points.
Paul Gill took fourth place by winning a countback on 37 points over Dave Heyes.
Dave McKey won the ‘B’ flight with his excellent score of 40 points, remarking that it has taken a while to get another win.
David Dunne has had lessons and incorporated some of the new moves, and it seems to be working. Second place here with 38 points.
Phil Davies was always in ‘A’ flight and is working his way back there with a score that should lower his handicap, 37 points today.
John Chelo just bops along and usually ends up with a good score. 36 points took him to fourth place in the flight.

The weather was very friendly with blue sky and a nice breeze all day.
With a generous starter giving us a two tee start, all groups finished in good time and all in the proper order of spacing.
