𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐊𝐒 𝐆𝐎𝐋𝐅 𝐒𝐎𝐂𝐈𝐄𝐓𝐘 …St Andrews…𝐅𝐫𝐢..𝐉𝐮𝐥.22…𝐒/𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐝
Although Cameron Smith won The Open at St Andrews at the weekend, all the focus was if the Australian contingent would make it a double at St Andrews, Rayong. Unfortunately for the rest of the world, it came to fruition with Livio Marrone achieving the double. Whilst Livio claims to be Australian, it should be noted that social media in Italy were claiming an Italian victory.

Livio`s winning score of 39 stableford points was a great effort by the single handicap player and he finished 1 point ahead of 11 handicappers Aaron Dykes and Steve Moxey with Aaron claiming the runners up spot by virtue of a better back 9.
Back in 4th place was the ever-consistent George Mueller who finished with 34 points.
Heavy clouds threatened the 22 competitors but fortune shined on the brave and everyone completed the day dry. Although some of the greens were a bit patchy, no one can complain about the value for money that St Andrews offers.
It should also be noted that we had 3 no shows today and the management would ask that if a player cannot make it then please contact the Links and say so rather than just not turn up. The Links prides itself on its organisation but sometimes a little consideration from the competitors makes our task a lot easier especially when it comes to arranging transportation.
Also please note that the start sheets in the Links are requesting contact details for golfers who are new to the Links and that all golfers state if they require transportation to the courses.
