Brendan Kane has been in Pattaya since March on this trip and has struggled to find the form that made him a single figure handicap.
At Burapha a few days ago, that good form shone through with a fine 40 points from a #9 handicap. Good enough for the win, you would think, but beaten into second place then.
Just to make sure of it, Brendan has gone one better today with 41 points, with a lower handicap, for the win and his very first Green Jacket at Links.
Is the word consistent enough to describe Robert Cha’s game? He has scored 38 points for the third time in about a week. This has given him another second place. How close is the ‘Jacket’ for him?
Robert won a countback on 38 points to hold off yet another good score from Wayne Peppernell who is playing well after shaking off many injuries.

Players found the course in good condition and, even though the greens on the front nine had been sanded, it had no adverse effect on putting. Not only that but it would seem that, finally, the bunkers have received some sand.
Pace of play was good after a slightly earlier start, although the first three ball did catch up to a couple of four balls and a solo.
A couple of late withdrawls and a late entry gave us a good field, for a low season, of twenty one starters.
