A few months ago, Jim Ferris had some medical issues, but was back playing golf fairly quickly.
Jim, in more recent times, struggles to shoot less than 100, but on the odd occasion, can do better than that.
This day was his with a sprightly 37 points to open a three point gap to second place.
Itโs not Jimโs first Green Jacket, and wonโt be the last.
Dave Arataki has a fairly similar story although he plays a lot of golf in Thailand.
Today was 34 points for Dave and he has taken second spot. Dave also snared three of the four near pins, as a bonus. That is rare for anyone.
Young Min Ko also did well to score 33 points to grab third place.
John Hefferenan is a newby to Links Golf and, from a handicap of #9, did well to rack up 32 points on this course.

We mention โon this courseโ as it is not an easy course to negotiate.
We play from the 6500 yd white tees, which is a stretch for some. We can have interruptions from the monkeys and the greens are most usually very slick, once known as the quickest in the area.
So it is a challenge, and high scores are not expected too often, but a nice course just the same.
